About me

My name is Jason Mohan, and I work for a healthcare company in Houston. I’m in charge of infrastructure and data center operations.  I’ve included a brief history about me, my experience, and projects I’ve worked on in my personal time. I’ve gotten many emails regarding how this information on this site has helped you. I’d like to say thank you to all of your emails. I have not been able to reply to everyone’s email because I’ve been busy, but please know I do appreciate the emails. I didn’t realize that this site was getting around 70-80 unique visitors per day. Lately I’ve been busy and I haven’t found the time to update this blog, however when I do get a chance I will continue to update it. Thanks for taking the time to visit.

My Philosophy

You can never learn enough especially in this field. Learn by researching, testing and applying. That’s why I have my own server lab at home, where I test new software, and try out stuff in a live environment, and apply what I learn at my current job. My second and probably most important belief is don’t be a big shot. Someone is always more knowledgeable than you in any one given area, no matter how much you think you know. Always learn, and give back to the community that’s helped you, and help others. That’s why I maintain this blog, hoping it would help others, on questions or problems I’ve encountered. You don’t know how many times other people blogs have helped me.
