The one thing I hated about my macbook initially was there was no way to get dual external monitor support, at least that’s what many forums said. However after some serious research through forums, and stuff I found a way. Many people still don’t know about this so I’m writing about it so you will.
First let’s get the question that’s on your mind out of the way. Yes...

Don’t you hate that message when you need to logon to a server for a few minutes to change something. This usually means someone forgot to logoff their RDP connections (actually two connections must be opened and left in a idle state), and now you need to logon to the server. Now you can go through terminal services manager, and log that user off, but sometimes you need to get on...

Want to monitor an RSS feed, or a server from your iPhone, and be notified via push alerts? It’s possible now with Letmeknow, but this application does a lot more than just that. RSS feeds are great but I don’t have the time to read through them, and usually I’m just looking for something in my feeds like a particular topic or keyword. So after doing some research for software...

Notes we all have them, and need them. We use them to put our serials numbers, grocery items, reminders, and etc. However the biggest problem I’ve always had was how to keep them all in sync, and do it cheap (and by cheap I mean free). I needed a way to access my notes from my mac, windows machine, iphone, and the web. Well low and behold I found Evernote. This software is probably one of...

Have you ever wanted to convert a youtube video into an mp3 file? Well you can now, there is a firefox plugin that lets you do this easily. You can now have multiple exchanges accounts setup for push email, calendar, and contacts on your iPhone through this simple hack. This has been a question I’ve had since I’ve bought the iPhone, however I’ve never been able to find a solution. Let me say first, yes it’s possible to have two, three, or four exchange accounts on the iPhone, and they don’t have to be on...

When I first started using sugarsync I loved it. I thought this is the file syncing sofware I was looking for. I backed up my data to the sugarsync servers, and synced my files to the rest of my computers. I loved Syncplicity at first, but they got rid of the mac client, and I have a macbook pro which I use everyday. Sugarsync had a windows, mac, and iphone client, and I loved that. However later...

What do you do when a user doesn’t remember the answers to the security questions that they registered with in citrix password manager? But their is another option just enter your previous password? Oh they don’t remember that either. Great! So what do you do. Just reset their registration of password manager. I dunno why, but I had the hardest time trying to find this option. So in...

Some of us, maybe a few of us need to setup a PHP webserver on a windows machine. I know you PHP fans are probably disgusted even thinking about PHP on a windows server. Anyways it’s not very easy to setup PHP, but yet it’s not difficult either, you just need to download a bunch of stuff. I setup PHP (without MySQL) on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server. I needed to access a Microsoft...

We have many citrix servers, but whenever I need to run one simple command I hate to go to all my citrix servers to run on. I wish I could just connect to one server, and access the command line for all the other server. Well you can, as I soon learned with psexec. It’s a Microsoft tool (formerly sysinternals), and you can download it here. Below is how you use it.
psexec \\RemoteComputer...
